A story about Patrick Stewart
I was wandering through the Dunster House Dining Room back in the early 90s, when I saw people clustering around the door to the Liem’s Residence. “There must be an open house,” I thought, “with yummy satay”. So I walked in and found Michael Lewis, head of the house committee, peering out of the front door. It turns out that there was a STTNG convention in Boston, and Michael had invited Patrick to our house to give him an award. He was expected at any moment, but Memorial Drive is not a good place to stop and park, and Michael wanted me to tell his chauffeur where to go. So along comes this limousine, I poke my head in, give greetings to Mr Stewart, his lady friend and the driver, and start telling the driver where to go. Patrick says, “Come on in, it’ll be easier to show us the way”. So I rode around the block with Patrick Stewart, who was very charming the whole way.
